Dharma Talks
Approximately 20-25 minutes of our service each Sunday is devoted to a Dharma talk.
Several times throughout the year we have the honor of hosting a visiting monk or other speaker. At other times, we listen to an audio tape of a Dharma talk given by a recognized teacher, or to an excerpt from an audio book on the Dharma. Sometimes a recorded talk is presented in full in one session. More frequently, the program is too long to present in one service, and is spread over several weeks. Many of our recordings are from Sounds True, an audio publisher which describes its mission as "to disseminate spiritual wisdom". We have listened to recordings from several well-known teachers, representing all major schools of Buddhism. Recent Dharma talks have been from:
